The type of personal information we collect:

We currently collect and process names and e-mails addresses through the website. When you decide to work with us we will also ask you to provide a home address and telephone number.

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • You have contacted us in order to find out more about working together

  • You have downloaded one of our free resources

  • You have decided to work with us


We use the information that you have given us in order to

  • Run coaching sessions via telephone or online

  • Keep in touch with you about services and how we can work together

  • Share additional resources


We do not share any information you provide with external parties.


Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting coaching@fionagillies.co.uk

(b) We have a legitimate interest

How we store your personal information

Information provided through the website is stored via Wix; view their statement about privacy and GDPR.


Your data retention

Information provided directly and essential coaching notes will be stored on a fully secured and password-protected laptop and / or cloud service. Any hard copy notes which are taken in order to facilitate a coaching session will be shredded within seven days.


We will keep contact information for two years after a) originally receiving it or b) the end of a working relationship, whichever is later.

​The security of your information is important to us and we will use reasonable security measures to prevent the loss, misuse or unauthorized alteration of your information under our control. However, given the inherent risks, we cannot guarantee absolute security and consequently, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
